Welcome and Thanks for visiting!
At Balanced Life, we don't just train pets; we empower and educate pet owners too. We believe that involving you in the training process is crucial for long-lasting results. Whether you have a rambunctious puppy who needs basic obedience training or a more mature dog with certain behavioral challenges, we offer a variety of training programs to meet your unique requirements. Our expert trainers are well-versed in areas such as obedience training, behavior modification, socialization, and more.
Our training programs are flexible and can be customized to fit your busy schedule. Whether you prefer private sessions, group classes, board and train or a combination of both, we have options to accommodate your needs. Our goal is to help you create a balanced and harmonious life with your pet. We're here to support you every step of the way, from the initial consultation to ongoing support even after the training is complete. Our commitment to you and your furry friend extends beyond the training sessions.
We use various training methods to teach dogs. Focusing on rewards and motivation, but we are also balanced trainers and we believe in using all four quadrants of operant conditioning. Every dog no matter the age needs boundaries and fair corrections for certain behaviors. The specific tools we use will depend on your dog's individual needs. We will also help you improve your handling abilities to ensure long-term success and teach you how to utilize the training tools effectively for success. Lastly understanding and interpreting your dog's body language is another essential skill we emphasize, as it enhances your training experience with us.
Dog training isn't one size fits all. Each dog is unique and deserves to learn in a way that suits their personality and how they learn. It should also be realistic for their families to continue with. Our goal is to help each dog become their best self and equip their owners with the knowledge and tools to support them effectively.

Head trainer and ownerHi, I am Chri
Ys! In 2017 I had a major life change, so with it I switched gears with my career and went with a childhood dream of working with Dogs. I started in dog nutrition, then moved into dog behavior and training. Focusing on puppies and basic obedience. Since then I have moved into behavioral modification, psychiatric service dogs, ADA testing for public access, and sent work and other dog sports for fun, I also volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind, (and a few rescues) and I hope this year I get my first puppy to raise for them! Puppies are still by far my favorite! If I am not training or playing with dogs you can find me either crocheting or on some outdoor adventures. I love being outside and have a dream of hiking the PCT one day.

Paige - dog trainer
Hi! My name is Paige! From a young age, I was always that kid that you would find playing with the animals at social events instead of socializing with people. I always found them more interesting and fascinating with their unique personalities and traits. 2017 was the year I decided to delve into working with animals and creating a career out of it. It has become a passion of mine to learn everything I can about dogs from behavior mannerisms, breed specifics, how to enrich them with games not just physically but mentally and so much more. This pursuit took me to entering a dog training program and getting certified. I find it amazing how my relationship with dogs has changed vastly from learning so much about them to understanding them better. it’s now my goal to help spread and share this knowledge with as many dog owners, about to become first time dog owners, children, and anyone who wants to know more. My heart lies with any shy and scared dogs who may have had trauma or just haven’t gained confidence yet. With my calm and relaxed, patient personality, I have found that I have a specialty with helping these kinds of dogs and puppies. Outside of all things dog, you will find me and my little pup Willa and cat James, relaxing at home reading or attempting crafts which ultimately fail, but at least I find fun!
